Alphabet Nursery School is centered on a "learn through play" philosophy. All classes from infants through 4 years old are subject to weekly lesson plans where developmentally appropriate curriculum is in effect. Stories, hand-play, singing, and muscle exercises target language development and fine and gross motor skill development.

As an underlying foundation, the basic life skills are also taught through practice in each classroom. Potty training and basic toilet skills, good health practices such as hand washing and tooth brushing, dressing, and table manners are all examples of the life skills, which are incorporated into the classroom curriculum. Most important of these is the resulting social skills that are developed as a by-product of the interaction between children and their human counterparts. This includes the basic definition of limits and the child's processing of the consequences of testing the boundaries of these limits.

Potty training is incorporated into our curriculum, and is most effective when efforts are consistent both at school and at home.

The infant ratio is one teacher to 4 children.
